Terms of Service
Last updated: 15 April 2026
1. Acceptance
By creating an InstaDuty account or using our APIs you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you use InstaDuty on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.
2. The service
InstaDuty helps you estimate customs duties, taxes, and landed costs for international shipments. Results are provided for informational purposes only and do not constitute legal, tax, or customs advice. You remain responsible for accurate declarations to customs authorities.
3. Accounts & security
Keep your credentials and API keys confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not reverse-engineer, resell, or sublicense the service without written consent.
- Do not upload material you have no right to share or that contains personal data of non-parties to the shipment.
- Do not submit excessive automated traffic beyond documented rate limits.
5. Subscriptions & payment
Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual cycle via Stripe. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. You can cancel renewal anytime from the billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
6. Intellectual property
We retain all rights in the platform, software, and derived datasets. You retain ownership of data you upload and grant us a limited licence to process it to provide the service.
7. Disclaimer & liability
The service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim is capped at the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including customs penalties arising from reliance on calculations.
8. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms. You can close your account anytime from the dashboard; we retain data only as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Turkey unless a mandatory consumer-protection rule in your country requires otherwise. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Istanbul.
